At first I hated the Bjorn. I never was a small-chested woman and when I first started nursing, hello. So I was like “Why would I ever use something that squeezes the girls?” David used the Bjorn weekly at least and the little guy loved it. I figured it was good for dads. Then I found out that it is AMAZING when your baby is having one of those teething, tired, cranky, I-refuse-to-be-put-anywhere days. One evening I was trying to make dinner for a friend and David, neither of whom had arrived, and Graham decided it was one of these times. I first tried to move his bouncy seat into the kitchen but that wasn’t good enough. He only wanted to be held. I figured it was now or never for the Bjorn. I have to say it saved my life. Graham was immediately settled and I was able to finish dinner. [Definitely not recommending bjorn use while near the stove but hey, desperate times call for desperate measures?!]
The other day a similar situation arose. I’m trying to clean the house for a visit from the in-laws and Graham, who recently got his first two teeth, just didn’t want to be anywhere but right with mommy. Bjorn to the rescue! I strapped the kid on and finished vacuuming without a hitch. My mom pointed out that I probably burned some extra calories that way. And, David pointed out that if you significantly tighten the straps it’s easier on your back and the girls.
I would highly recommend this as a registry item and must-have for infants!

I absolutely agree, Sarah. My Baby Bjorn was one of the best baby gear investments I made!!
