False lashes, when done correctly, always look great to me. UM… I can’t do them correctly though! I never have mastered putting the right amount of glue on a teeny tiny strip and placing said teeny tiny strip on my eye. That is no easy task my friend. My lashes are pretty long but definitely sparse. I love a mascara that gives volume and length. I have tried Maybelline, Benefit’s Bad Gal Lash (loved that for awhile but it ran down my face all the time,) and L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara. I am 99% happy with my Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes Mascara. The coolest thing about this mascara is the totally unorthodox brush. See below:
The brush really separates your lashes so it maximizes what you’ve got and doesn’t clump. The results are dramatically different from other mascaras I’ve tried. OK, now to explain the 1% of it I don’t like. I’m not going to lie: every once in awhile it smudges under my eyes. My skin has a tendency to be oily so it might not smudge on you. I’ve noticed if I use an eyelash primer first it rarely smudges (but who has time to do primer and mascara everyday?)
Overall, this is an EXCELLENT mascara and I have yet to find anything to top it. If you think you’ve got one better, feel free to comment. I’d love to check out some competition! In the meantime, this mascara is my personal fave.
