I LOVE breakfast food. Problem: I hate making it. Second problem: is it just me or does it always seem impossible to get into a breakfast restaurant on the weekends? I have only found one restaurant, so far, close to my house that takes reservations for breakfast. Even then you have to have at least six people. I digress.
Panera has amazing breakfast food and you don’t have to make reservations. You can even run in after your morning work-out at the gym… or, more realistically, roll out of bed and go in your lounge-wear that is just a step above pajamas. They have so many bagels, rolls, etc. to choose from. Last time I went I ordered the cinnamon crunch bagel (a MUST HAVE if you have a sweet tooth like me) and a bear claw. Both were fantastic. They had pecan rolls, cinnamon rolls, healthy bagels (if you don’t have a sweet tooth.) I could go on and on.
I also ordered a (hey, it was Sunday… my diet-free day so don’t judge) granola parfait. This granola parfait was made of organic, low-fat yogurt, strawberries, and granola. Super delicious. (say that just like the little girl on the T-Mobile commercial who tells her dad that another girl’s grandma thinks he’s “super delicious.”)
I saw a sign that advertised freshly made breakfast sandwiches so I might try one of those next time. Overall, I’m loving breakfast at Panera these days. http://www.panerabread.com/
P.S. On the website they have a section on nutrition where they list all the calories in the delicious rolls. I wouldn’t suggest looking at that if you want to enjoy your bear claw like I did.
P.P.S. I have to give a shout-out to the cashier at Panera on Canal St. for letting me order even though this rude woman with a yoga mat tried to cut in front of me in line. Sometimes I hate living in a big city! Although, I suppose there are rude people everywhere. Sigh.

I love these posts!
FYI, I have been lovin McDonald’s flavored coffee drinks, like the iced coffees, lattes, etc. They are REALLY improving their coffee lines and I go there almost as often as Starbucks now !
Also, Arby’s has a BOMB breakfast burrito w/ eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and cheese. THE best breakfast burrito so far that I have tried!

Libby, love the suggestions. Also love that you called it a BOMB breakfast burrito. I may have to start using that adjective. I’m a little afraid though to ask how many calories said burrito would set me back.

Panera isn’t Panera without an Asiago cheese bagel/bread. Like pizza without the sauce. Add a half caff coffee and your day is complete. (also your calorie limit)
