Surprise, surprise… I’m writing about another Benefit makeup product. They really are great. If you are currently using a liquid foundation: STOP. If you are looking for a light-coverage product that evens out your skin tone, hides blemishes, reduces redness, ETC….. this is it.
I’m not dissing people who use liquid foundation. I used it for YEARS. I have struggled with mild acne and just always thought I needed a ton of coverage. One day I ran out of my liquid foundation was too busy to go get some more (that is what having an infant does to a person) and just stopped using it. I found that I didn’t so much miss it. I needed something though and so I hit up the Benefit boutique on Southport in Chicago with my best friend and baby in tow.
After explaining the situation to my consultant, she immediately told me I was going to love some kind-a gorgeous and I she was right. It comes with a sponge applicator or you can use a foundation brush if you prefer. It goes on SO LIGHT and settles as a powder (so they say, I still use my MAC powder on top but I tend to have oily skin.) It truly evens out my skin, hides blemishes, does everything you want without the cake-like texture of liquid foundation. It is truly a new personal fave.

Hey Sarah have you ever used the Bare Esentials (spelling?) makeup? It’s a powder foundation – that is what I use but I am wondering how this one compares to that bc I may be in the market for new foundation!
Libby, I haven’t tried Bare Essentials but I think my friend Kristen uses it. Is it powder? If that’s the one I’m thinking of then Some Kind-A Gorgeous would give more coverage. It really evens out any redness or blemishes I have (like a liquid foundation) but feels so much lighter than liquid. Does that help??
Sarah,
I’m a Benefit fan also and feel you may want to add Erase Paste to one of your favorites. Perhaps I missed it’s posting, but if not give it a try. Of course you don’t need the erasing as I do, but it a little under the eyes gives a nice brightening for nights out. Thanks for the reminder on your site!
